FIRST CONGO ON THE ROAD BLOG

OGHS HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF
The United Church of Christ, along with Church World Service, is responding to emergency needs in Haiti.  We are receiving financial gifts to help.  Please make checks payable to First Congregational UCC with "Haiti Earthquake Relief" in the memo.

SEEKING A "LEAD PERSON" FOR OUR HABITAT FOR HUMANITY PARTNERSHIP
This position would include attending Mission and Outreach Ministry Team meetings 6 times a year, coordinating volunteers for the Women's Build and other build dates, doing some PR and recruitment for volunteers at the ReStore and deconstructs, etc.  Contact Deb Burich for more information.

CREATIVE ARTS AND SPIRITUALITY SMALL GROUP
Sunday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
January 24 to February 28
$10.00 materials fee
Limited to 6-8 people
Megan Burdick-Grade (a member of First Congregational and a family therapist at Samaritan Counseling Center)  and
Seminary Intern Karon Sandberg will facilitate this small group.
This group is open to all who may be interested in exploring and experiencing how the visual arts can inform and inspire their faith journey.  Please sign up on the sheet provided in the Narthex or call the Church Office (733-7393).

BIBLE STUDY
The Miracles of Jesus
Pastor Steve will begin his weekly Bible Study in February.
Monday evening Bible Study will be held February 8 to March 22 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday morning Bible Study will be held February 10 to March 24 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  Sign-up sheets are located in the Narthex.

Please note that the brunch which had been scheduled for Sunday, February 7th, has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 7th, at 12:00 noon at the Riverview Country Club, 1101 S. Oneida Street, Appleton.

This movie is for everyone from the very young to the young at heart.  The theatre is reserved for ALL First Congo members and friends. 
COST:  $6.00 per person
(this includes the movie, popcorn, cookies and soda)
