Part-Time High School Ministry Coordinator Position Available

Exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who genuinely enjoys working with high school youth to help them explore and develop their spirituality.  The successful candidate will use creativity to identify and develop faith-based activities including activities and mission trips. Strong communication and project planning skills are essential.

SUMMER FAMILY CHOIR

HEALING SERVICE
Sunday, July 12
After our 9:30 a.m. worship service, we will have a special "Liturgy of Healing in Intercession and Empowerment" in the Sanctuary.  This 20-30 minute liturgy is meant to offer healing to those in need and empowerment for those who seek to be an agent of healing in the life of someone else.  Pastors Steve and Jane will officiate, along with lay members of the church.


HABITAT FOR HUMANITY JOINT UCC BUILD
First Congregational UCC, along with six other area UCC churches, is sponsoring a Habitat for Humanity house this summer.  The build is scheduled to begin mid-July, with completion and dedication by late August.  There are a variety of volunteer needs of different abilities, skill levels, and time commitments to fulfill.  Information,   interest sheets, and sign-up sheets are  located in the Narthex.  The first two days for volunteers needed from First Congregational are Tuesday, July 14, and Thursday, July 23.  Other dates will be announced as they become closer.  If you have questions, please contact Jim Parker (734-2017) or Julia Rhodes (731-8521).

DISASTER RESPONSE TRIP TO IOWA
October 9-12, 2009

BACK BAY MISSION TRIP
October 31 to November 8, 2009
Cost is $175 per person.  A deposit of $100 reserves your spot with the balance due in September.  We have reserved space for 30 worker campers this year and could possibly make room for more.
