Your child’s safety is important to us! We employ several approaches in caring for the safety of children who are entrusted to us. The following are a few examples of the safety measures that are currently in place:
- All adult volunteers and staff undergo a criminal background check before working in our Pathways through high school programs.
- Room and hallway spot-checks are conducted throughout the morning on Sundays.
- Teachers keep infant through 2nd grade students in their classrooms until parents pick them up.
Parents are encouraged to supplement our efforts, especially between services and when children are in the building for other events.
- Get to know the other parents and people in our church community.
- Have younger children use the restroom when you are with them before their class or event begins.
- Instruct your child to use the buddy system – never wander around the building alone.
- Instruct your child to stay in well-populated areas of the church.
- Know where your child is at all times.
- Pick your child up promptly after classes or events end.
