One of the many ways to be involved in LEAVEN is to volunteer your language skills.  Interpreters are needed to assist the Hmong and Spanish speaking clients through the interview process by interpreting for the interviewer or caseworker.  Occasionally there is a need for translation of documents.  Contact Mary Grace, Volunteer Coordinator, at LEAVEN (738-9635).

Volunteer opportunities available at LEAVEN:

Receptionist --
Greet clients, answer telephones, make appointments for clients.

Interviewer -- Conduct interviews and assist with the application process.

Process Case Worker -- Investigate requests for assistance by contacting other community resources; decide how to best assist the client.

For more information contact Mary Grace at 738-9635.  LEAVEN is located at 1475 Midway Road in Menasha, and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, and 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.  Positions are available on weekly or bi-weekly basis, as well as on-call/substitute.

Still Speaking Team

Looking for a fun team to share your time with?  The Still Speaking team has opportunities for members to help in promoting our church, advertising of events and welcoming hospitality.  For more information contact Rick Reid (739-4146).

The Still Speaking Team is looking for someone to organize and maintain a calendar of messages to go in the Fox River Mall, as well as outdoor banners, so that they may be changed seasonally on a planned calendar.  We're also looking for people interested (with or without experience) in marketing and public relations to use or learn skills.  The Team is taking on new projects every day, and we will almost certainly have a job for anyone with interest in joining us.  Volunteers can contact Rick Reid at 428-3783 or rfreid@aol.com.  Volunteer yourself -- or others!
