This year’s Advent display will go up during a special Hanging of the Greens event on Wednesday, December 4, 2019. We will be using greens and wreaths, poinsettias and mistletoe, banners and cloths, and ornaments created by the children and youth of our church. During the Hanging of the Greens, the history and tradition behind these symbols will be explained and celebrated. Then these symbols of God’s love in Christ will adorn the Sanctuary and Narthex throughout the Advent and Christmas season.
Please consider making a gift to the Advent and Christmas display in memory or in honor of a loved one or to celebrate a special moment in your life. The suggested donation is $25.00, and the deadline is Monday, December 9. Contributors to the display will appear in the bulletin on Sunday, December 22 and on Christmas Eve, December 24. Besides supporting this special season’s display, the monies will be used to help fund the Sanctuary flowers throughout next year. The order form can be accessed below.
