Second Annual Advent Extravaganza
Sundays during Advent

Those attending worship can drop off items after the service.
Christmas is coming and the Alternative Christmas Market Team, Mission and Service Team and the Back Bay Mission Team are preparing for the second annual Advent Extravaganza.
Week 1: Sunday, November 28
COMFORT: Donations will be given to Afghan refugees arriving in the Fox Valley.
- Sets of 4 or 6 cutlery
- Plates (hard plastic preferred)
- Cups
- Complete sets of silverware
- Pressure cookers
- Tea Kettle
- Toaster
- Can opener
- Microwave oven
- Lamps
- Alarm clocks
- Gently used clothing, washed and free of animal fur, stains, and damage
- Men’s and women’s medium size winter coats
- Winter boots
New items (high need for the following):
- Twin blankets and sheets
- Pillows
- First aid kits
- Bath towels
- Kitchen towels
- Hand towels
Week 2: Sunday, December 5:
TOYS: Donations given to Toys for Tots. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy.

Week 3: Sunday, December 12:
FOOD: Donations go to St. Joe’s

Week 4: Sunday, December 19:
HOME: Hygiene supplies donated to LEAVEN. Large bath towels are also needed and will be donated to Pillars.
- Ken Jahnke will sell shrimp if there is any left to sell.
Those attending worship will drop off or purchase items after service. Those who just want to drop off / purchase items and not attend worship, please do so between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
Kiara West, our LEAVEN representative, has given us a specific hygiene list to use (see below) and Pastor Jane Anderson has provided a list of specific needs for our Afghan neighbors. Download the list.
LEAVEN’s Wish List:
Deodorant, toothbrushes and toothpaste, small bottles of laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet cleaner, cleaning wipes, bar soap, shampoo and conditioner, kitchen trash bags, liquid hand soap, and knit gloves (one size fits all so they can be put in hygiene kits).
