It is my privilege to announce that Dianne Droster has accepted the position as Director for Children and Middle School Ministry here at FCUCC, starting August 30.
Dianne brings with her many gifts and training, a love of FCUCC, and years of experience volunteering with our children and middle school students. Be sure to welcome her when you see her as a full time, permanent member of staff.
How blessed we are!

About Dianne
Dianne grew up on a small hobby farm in Burlington, Wisconsin. She was an active member in her church, Cross Lutheran, and has fond memories of bugging her pastor with all sorts of faith questions. Before her call to ministry, Dianne was a professor for many years at Lawrence University, her alma mater, teaching in the Freshman Studies program and in the ESL program for Japanese exchange students.
Since 2017, Dianne has been the Caring Ministries Coordinator for First English Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Appleton, providing pastoral care for the homebound, hospitalized, and those in hospice care. Beginning in January 2020, Dianne served for seven months as the Interim Pastor for Our Shepherd UCC in Howards Grove, Wisconsin, leading them into the era of on-line worship and outdoor services, including baptizing a baby under the carport.
Most recently, Dianne returned home to First Congregational UCC in Appleton to serve as an interim pastor during the senior pastor’s sabbatical. Dianne is an avid reader, enthusiastic walker, and nature lover. Her pandemic partner has been Pip, a bouncy Bearded Collie dog. She has two beloved step-daughters, Tanya and Kate.
