Wednesdays during the summer
12:15-12:45 PM

The Lunchtime Organ Recital Series returns to the Fox Valley this summer after a two-year hiatus in what will be its 25th anniversary season.

The first program of the season takes place right here at First Congregational on Wednesday, June 8 with a recital by Dr. Andrew Schaeffer, graduate of St. Olaf University, Yale University, and the University of Oklahoma.
Dr. Schaeffer currently serves as Director of Music at Luther Memorial Church of Madison, Wisconsin.

The Lunchtime Organ Recital Series was founded by Frank Rippl in 1995 in an effort to bring classical music to the Fox Valley community. The Northeast Wisconsin Chapter of the American Guild of Organists now coordinates the series, with several of its members performing each year.

Recitals are held on Wednesdays from 12:15-12:45 PM throughout the summer at local churches, including a July 4 sing-a-long at Lawrence University Memorial Chapel (see full schedule below). These recitals give people the opportunity to hear a wide array of pipe organs in the many beautiful houses of worship in Appleton, Kaukauna, Neenah, and Menasha. Performers include several local organists as well as others from across the country.

The concerts are free and open to the public. A free-will offering is taken to offset costs associated with the administration of the series, as well as to fund a scholarship program for new organists).
