High School Youth Gr 9-12
Contact:Rev. Nick Hatch
All high school youth and their friends are invited to become part of First Congregational’s vibrant youth ministry. Opportunities are designed to challenge faith, strengthen friendships and deepen our commitment to one another and to God. Through worship, fellowship, education and service, we aim to engage youth in activities that allow them to experience Christ’s love in many ways.
For where two or three are gathered in My name,
I am there among them. (Matthew 18:20)

Weekly Youth Group
Wednesdays 6:30-7:30 PM
Wednesday evening Youth Group allows teens to get to know others, share the everyday happenings of their lives and develop their faith.
Other fun events are offered throughout the year. These include service projects-like apple crisp baking, packing sack lunches for homeless people in our community, and writing Christmas cards for elderly church members, and fellowship activities-like our summer day trip to Noah’s Ark. These are fabulous ways to meet new people!
Youth in Worship
Each year, children and youth of all ages are involved in worship leadership. High school students have unique opportunities to serve in meaningful worship roles throughout the year. Additionally, youth are encouraged to bring their diverse talents in the areas of drama, music, public speaking, creative set design, and more.
High School Youth Mission Trip
Our youth mission trip is a big event each summer. Several dozen youth and adult mentors take a week-long journey of hands-on service, worship and crazy fun. This is an opportunity to serve others in need and experience a change in faith, friendships and outlook. Learn about this summer’s High School Youth Mission Trip.
Volunteering at Homeless Connections
On select Sunday mornings, the high school ministry prepares breakfast at Pillars Homeless Connections shelter. It’s a lot of fun, a great way to serve our community and a requirement for those planning to participate in the youth mission trip.
