Alternative Christmas Market

Gifts Inspiring Change

Get a head start on your holiday shopping at the Alternative Christmas Market (ACM) by buying gifts that directly benefit people in our community and around the world.

As a shopper, you choose the alternative gift and “purchase” that item through a donation, such as a school uniform for a child in Kenya’s Kerio Valley or bus passes for a homeless person to get to work. After you choose your gift, we supply a card for you to give to the recipient that describes your special, life-giving gift, and we direct your donation to the organization that sponsors the gift.

Since 1993, the congregation’s alternative gifts have changed lives by raising over $270,000 for local, national, and international organizations that relieve suffering and promote justice.

Catalogs and order forms will be available after worship Sunday, November 28. Visit the Alternative Christmas Market table after worship on December 5, 12 and 19 to purchase your gifts.

If you’d like to donate an in-kind gift instead of a cash donation, consider our Advent Mission Extravaganza. Each Sunday in Advent, you can drive through the church parking lot and donate an item that will be delivered to local agencies.
