Alternative Christmas Market

Gifts Inspiring Change

A church tradition since 1993, the Alternative Christmas Market provides the congregation and the community the opportunity to purchase “alternative” gifts–charitable donations–for the special people on their Christmas lists. When you give an alternative gift, you emphasize the love, peace and grace that are at the center of the Christmas message and provide relief to people in need. We help you spread the word by supplying a description of your gift to give to the recipient.

In this time of Covid-19, your donations are needed more than ever to assist the many people experiencing hardship in our community, country and around the world.

If you’d like to make a cash donation, click on the catalog below to begin shopping.

If you’d like to donate an in-kind gift instead of a cash donation, consider our Advent Mission Extravaganza. Each Sunday in Advent, you can drive through the church parking lot and donate an item that will be delivered to local agencies.

It is also a tradition for Karma’s Mailbox, a band comprised of First Congo Members Kris Glenn, Shannon Glenn, Tami Johnson, Phil Gabrielson and Steve Hirby, to play live at the Alternative Christmas Market.  Even though the event is online this year, you can still enjoy some Christmas music from the group.
